SCHOOL BAGS STILL UNCERTAIN
Zaolzie's uncertainty continues. It is still unclear whether the Pierwszak’s Voucher, which includes an equipped school bag and an educational stipend equivalent to PLN 500, will also be awarded this year to students entering the first grade of Polish elementary schools in the RC. However, the chairman of Macierz Szkolna (Parents’ Association) Marek Bystroń believes in a successful outcome.

STUDENTS WILL PAY MORE FOR APARTMENTS
In the last weeks of August, students are busily searching for accommodation for the new academic year. A common choice is to rent an apartment shared with friends or colleagues. How much do you have to pay for accommodation in Brno, Prague, Olomouc or Ostrava?

OSTRAVA: LARGE FIRE IN VITKOWICE
In Ostrava-Vítkovice, firefighters battled a fire that broke out in the predawn hours of Wednesday at the premises of the Skatlop company. The facility used to belong to the Vítkovice Heavy Machinery company. The roof and housing of the industrial hall were on fire. The situation was not brought under control until late in the evening. Firefighters will remain at the site until at least Thursday morning. 

BANIK AFTER BEAUTIFUL BATTLE BEHIND THE WICKET OF EUROPEAN CUPS. COPENHAGEN ADVANCES AFTER PENALTIES
Thursday night's football in our region was marked by a return match of the Europa Conference League third round between Banik Ostrava and FC Copenhagen. The Ostrava players, after losing 0:1 in the Danish capital, made up for the loss at home, winning 1:0, but ultimately crashed out of the competition after a fateful penalty shootout.
