Górna: These hands can do a lot
The Women's
Club of the local branch of the Polish Cultural and Educational Union in Sucha
Górna prepared an exhibition of handicrafts, "What Our Hands Can Do.” It could
be viewed on Saturday and Sunday. Crowds attended the Saturday opening.
"Przez
Kopce” heads to the finals
The third
edition of the popular tourist game "Przez Kopce” ("Through the Mounds”) will
have its Grand Finale in a week's time at the PZKO "Kasowy” House in Mosty near
Jablunkov. The game had 114 active participants, including 72 people who
conquered all the peaks. The Grand Finale is open to all participants, prizes
will be drawn between the conquerors of a set of peaks.
Zaolzie already has finalists for this year's "Kresy”
Karolina Filipczyk and Wojciech Bureš from the J. Słowacki
Polish Middle School in Český Těšín will represent Zaolzie and the Czech
Republic in the finals of the "Kresy” Recitation Contest for Poles from abroad
in Białystok. Adam Burian, a student of the H. Sienkiewicz Elementary School, is
the reserve.
Hawierzów: The "Błędowice” regional group has been
dancing for 40 years
"Bydziesz moja, bydym twój” was the name of the more than
two-hour concert that the Błędowice Regional Ensemble staged on Saturday in
Havířov on the occasion of its 40th anniversary. The multi-generational musical
spectacle confirmed that the Błędowice ensemble is one of the top in the
region.
Tipsport Ekstraliga: The bottom of the table is getting
closer and closer. Třinec's loss to Kladno
Trzyniec's hockey players scored another poor performance in
the extraliga game on Sunday evening, losing at home to Kladno 1:4. The
Steelers are in a close fight with Liberec for the title of worst extraliga
team in November.
