Cieszyn: good cinema in Wakacyjne Kadry
Wakacyjne Kadry, or Friday film screenings in the market
square, are underway in Cieszyn, and anyone can attend. Such outdoor cinema
after dark is a great option for everyone – families with children, couples,
groups of friends, as well as for those who like to spend time in the company
of other movie lovers.
Dziećmorowice: they said goodbye to the parish priest and
welcomed... a bronze statue
The commemoration of St. Mary Magdalene, which fell on
Monday, July 22, was an occasion for an indulgence at the church in
Dziećmorowice, whose patron saint is Mary Magdalene. During the event, the
faithful bid farewell to parish priest Fr. Martin Pastrňák, who is leaving for
another parish. The priest received honorary citizenship of Dziećmorowice and
left behind a bronze statue of St. Mary Magdalene.
Colours of Ostrava finale directed by James Blake
The organizers of the Colours of Ostrava festival never give
ticket sales figures, but this year's event, which ended Saturday, was one of
the best ever. Both in terms of audience attendance and the program offered
during the four-day feast, not only in terms of music. The star of Saturday
night's event was British singer, producer and composer James Blake.
