The signs marking the beginning and end of the built-up area with the Polish name of Český Těšín-Mistrzovice were damaged. The first was blurred, the second forcibly turned toward the ditch. The Czech signs are fine.

2024 is an anniversary year for the Olza Song and Dance Ensemble. The dancers from Český Těšín are celebrating their 70th anniversary and are training diligently ahead of the September celebrations. The Olza family, wanting to be even closer to the audience, is moving out of the halls and from under the theater roofs into the open air - on September 28 they will celebrate in the form of a folk festival on Castle Hill in Cieszyn.

Four goalkeepers are on the current staff list of first-league soccer club MFK Karviná. Milan Knobloch signed a contract with the club from the Olza River this week, joining the trio of Jiří Ciupa, Jakub Lapeš, Vladimír Neuman.
