SCHOOL BAGS ARRIVED IN BŁĘDOWICE ON TIME

First-graders from the Elementary School and Kindergarten with the Polish Language of Teaching in Havířov-Blędovice received their school bags and school supplies just in time for the opening of the school year. The project "Support for the youngest students from Polish schools in Zaolzie in the Czech Republic,” formerly known as the First-grader's voucher - funded by the Polish state, and obtained through the Jan Olszewski Foundation "Aid to Poles in the East” and the Educational Society in the Czech Republic - was enjoyed by six girls and three boys in Blędowice on Friday.

HALF A CENTURY OF WORK WITH THE POLISH BOOK

The Polish Literature Branch of the Karviná Regional Library celebrated half a century of activity on Thursday with the opening of a bilingual exhibition entitled. "Čteme spolu 50 let - We read 50 years together.” The city's Deputy Mayor Andrzej Bizoń presented the branch with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of Mayor Jan Wolf.

Two women with great sensitivity, artistic souls and not inconsiderable achievements met Wednesday afternoon in the hall of the town hall in Jablunkov. Revered and award-winning Jablunkov photographer Monica Ramsza invited well-known Polish singer and privately her friend Natalia Niemen to the opening of her portrait exhibition.

MICHAL PROBIERZ: THE PLAYERS SHOWED CHARACTER

Poland's national soccer team in the inaugural League of Nations defeated Scotland 3:2 in Glasgow on Thursday. Sebastian Szymanski (8th) and from penalty kicks Robert Lewandowski (44th) and Nicola Zalewski (97th) entered the list of Polish scorers. National team selector Michal Probierz spoke to reporters about the good September start.
