WĘDRYNIA: THEY’VE PUBLISHED A BILINGUAL MUNICIPAL CHRONICLE. WHO’S NEXT?
For just under a month now, Wędrynia has been able to boast its own bilingual Polish-Czech municipal chronicle. The publication was created on the initiative of the municipal committee for national minorities in response to the long-standing expectations of local Poles. Its creators emphasize that the chronicle is intended to be a lasting testament to the municipality’s bilingual character and an inspiration for other towns in Zaolzie.

Three representatives of the Congress of Poles in the Czech Republic—Monika Plášková, Andrzej Bizoń, and Józef Szymeczek—along with Marta Kmeť, director of the Pedagogical Center for Polish National Education in Český Těšín, visited Warsaw on Monday. The purpose of their visit was to visit the "Jan Olszewski Foundation for Aid to Poles in the East” and the St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe Institute for the Development of the Polish Language. 

39 DAYS OF SOCCER ACTION. THE WORLD CUP KICKS OFF TODAY IN CANADA, THE U.S., AND MEXICO
For the first time ever, the tournament will be held across three countries, featuring a record number of teams (48) and a record number of matches over 39 days (104)—the World Cup, which kicks off Thursday evening our time in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, promises to be exciting. The opening match will be today’s clash between Mexico and South Africa in Group A (9:00 p.m. our time), which also features players from the RC national team.
