SNOW AND
ICE ARE MAKING ROAD CONDITIONS DIFFICULT. HARSH CONDITIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY
Forecasters'
predictions of heavy snowfall across the entire Moravian-Silesian Region have
proven accurate. Snow is hampering transport not only on roads in mountainous areas,
but also in large cities throughout the region. In other regions of the Czech
Republic, freezing rain is causing problems. By 9:00 a.m., more than 100
traffic accidents had been reported across the country.
REPRESENTATIVES
OF MUNICIPALITIES FROM THE BORDER REGION AGREED ON A PLAN FOR JOINT ACTION IN
PIOTROWICE
Joint
skiing courses, trips to the border region, and summer camps—these are the
attractions for children and young people that Czech and Polish local
government officials from Piotrowice near Karwina, Zebrzydowice, and Godów are
working to provide as part of cross-border cooperation.
HIGHLANDERS
PARTYED ON A FROSTY NIGHT
The
tradition has returned. Yesterday, the 46th Gorolski Ball and International
Review of Folk Bands and Folklore Ensembles took place at the PZKO Kasowy House
in Mosty near Jabłonków. It was organized by a new, rejuvenated team.
