"HERO" OF CONTEST, SHOW AND WORKSHOP
Cieszyn
Castle invites you to participate in the Kinga Iwanek-Riess Strudel Baking Competition.
It will be accompanied by a demonstration of strudel baking performed by the
Riess family, strudel workshops and a concert by the "Torka" band.
The event, whose "hero" will be one of Cieszyn's most recognizable
baked goods, will take place on Sunday, September 21, at the Cross-Border
Tourist Information Center in Cieszyn.

Nearly two
hundred volleyballs were handed out during an ecumenical service at the
Evangelical-Augsburg parish in Szczyrk-Salmopol on Sunday to mark the
volleyball World Cup in the Philippines, which began on Friday, September 12,
and in which the Polish national team is participating.

Skrzyszowska took fifth place in the 100m sprint and Anita Włodarczyk sixth in
the hammer throw on the third day of the athletics world championships in
Tokyo. Swede Armand Duplantis won gold in the pole vault and improved the world
record at 6.30m. The Americans are leading in the medal classification, the
Poles are still without a podium finish.
