Robin Lipowski, a third-grade student of the Juliusz Slowacki Polish Gymnasium in Český Těšín, won the XXVIII central qualifying round of the "Kresy 2023" recitation contest for Poles in the Czech Republic, which took place at the "Strzelnica" Cultural Center on Thursday, November 16. Together with Izabela Bolek from the third grade of the same middle school (she took ex aequo second place with Karolina Filipczyk), they will represent the Czech Republic in December in Bialystok in the finals of the A. Mickiewicz Recitation Contest for Poles abroad "Kresy 2023."

Exactly 243,499 people took advantage of the opportunity to visit 39 churches in the Moravian-Silesian region this season, reported Ondřej Elbel of the Ostrava-Opava diocese.
