POLAND'S PROSPECTS IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT
On October 9–10, municipal elections will be held in the Czech Republic. The deadline for submitting candidate lists was August 4, and they are currently being reviewed. In our region, these municipal elections present an opportunity for the Polish national minority to elect our representatives to municipal offices. 

TREASURES UNEARTHED FROM "TRÓWŁA”
Music, traditions, and local flavors were the most distinctive elements of the 25th edition of "Treasures of Cieszyn’s Trówła.” The events, from Friday through Sunday, took place on Castle Hill and at the Cross-Border Tourist Information Center in Cieszyn. 

LESZNA DOLNA: THEY WILL HONOR THE LATEST VICTIMS OF FASCISM
Last year, during a ceremony held to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II at the monument commemorating the 44 victims of fascism from Leszno, it was decided to request the authorities of the city of Třinec for assistance in restoring this memorial site. The monument, which has stood in the center of the village since 1967, has been severely weathered by the passage of time and the elements. 

CHANCE NATIONAL LEAGUE: A SCORELESS DRAW AT RUDOLF ŁABAJ STADIUM. KARVINÁ REMAINS IN FIRST PLACE
Even on their fourth attempt, the Třinec players were unable to secure a victory in the second division. In Monday’s final match of the 4th round of the Chance National League, the team coached by Tomáš Hejdušek and Lubomír Luhový played to a scoreless draw at home against Ústí nad Labem. This marks the third draw for the league’s newcomer this season. After Monday’s match, MFK Karviná remains in first place.
