"OLDRZYCHOWICE" WITH A BRONZE CIUPAGA
The
"Oldrzychowice" Dance Group returned to Zaolzie with a Bronze
Ciupaga. This is an award at the 56th International Festival of Mountain Lands,
which was held in Zakopane from August 15 to 21. The group won it in the
second stylized category.
CIERLICKO
FILM SUMMER, OR BETWEEN US CINEPHILES
Fans of
good cinema are counting down the days until the start of the Cierlicko Film
Summer (September 11-14), a popular festival of the latest Polish, Czech and
Slovak films selected according to only one key: with a focus on quality. The
gates of the Cierlicky Svoboda (Freedom) cinema will open on September 11. –
The four-day event is sure to have something interesting for everyone, assures
Elisabeth Štěrba-Molenda, head of the festival.

TIME FOR THE END OF THE VACATIONS....
The
headmistress of the Polish elementary school in Nawsie, Romana Molinek, could
be seen at the school this week not behind a desk, but in work gloves, with a
rag to wipe off the dust. This is because a major renovation is nearing
completion in the building and a thorough cleaning is beginning.

Banik
Ostrava's players had and will also have a difficult time today and next week
in a confrontation with Slovenian club NK Celje in the Conference League
play-offs. Banik, cheered on by a strong group of Ostrava fans, lost 0:1 in
Celje on Thursday evening, a result that can be considered a mercy for Pavel
Hapal's team. The rematch is next week in Ostrava (8 pm).
