Following
the success of the Feast of the Three Brothers, Cieszyn and Český Těšín are
offering residents and tourists guided walks on both sides of the Olza River
for the vacations, an electronic music festival on the roof of the Cross-Border
Tourist Information Center (TCIT), and an open-air holiday cinema on Cieszyn's
Market Square, which begins Friday, July 4.
A native of
Smilowice, Prof. Jerzy Buzek, former Polish prime minister and president of the
European Parliament, celebrates his 85th birthday on July 3, 2025. Although he
no longer holds a prominent position, he is still attentively listened to and
rewarded. - He is a man of dialogue, believing in the power of cooperation and
mutual respect," said the authors of one of the awards.
Two silver
diplomas and one special prize were brought from Cieszyn by the Zaolzie mixed
choir "Canticum Novum” of the Polish Artistic Society "Ars Musica”. The 10th
International Choir Competition was held on Saturday as part of the Prof. Józef
Świder Music Festival in Cieszyn.
Karviná's
footballers are reporting another reinforcement in the summer transfer window.
Above the Olza River, they managed to lure offensive midfielder Ousmane Condé,
who has so far played in the colors of second-league Wyszkow.
