HOSPITALS
FROM TŘINEC AND TĚŠÍN BEGIN COOPERATION
As part of
a European project, for the first time ever, the Třinec Hospital is starting
cooperation with the Silesian Hospital in Cieszyn in the field of emergency
medicine and traumatology. The goal is to improve patient care in the border
region and standardize emergency treatment procedures.
PAVEMENTS AS
IF FROM STONAVA TO PARIS
Coal mining
at the last active hard coal mine in the Ostrava-Karviná coalfield has not yet
ceased, but tunneling has already been completed. The last meter was drilled in
June. A total of 1,100,681 meters of galleries have been excavated in the
history of ČSM Mine in Stonava, which is roughly equivalent to the distance
from Stonava to Paris.
FOLKLORE
WILL FILL THE BESKIDS, AND ZAOLZIE WILL PRESENT ITSELF IN WISLA
From July
26 to August 3, music, dancing and singing performed by about a hundred folk
ensembles from Poland and abroad will fill the Beskidy Mountains and
surrounding areas to the brim. About 4,000 dancers, musicians, singers, folk
artists, craftsmen and handicraftsmen will appear on the stages of the 62nd
Beskidy Culture Week. A Zaolzie Day is planned for TKB in Wisła on July 28,
with the participation of ensembles from our region.
WHAT DO
SPARTAK AND ISKRA HAVE IN COMMON? LOVE OF SOCCER
An
unforgettable adventure was experienced by the players of Spartak Jablunkov, or
more precisely, the club's old-boys team. The team, led by coach Stanislaw
Kluz, on July 5 played in a tournament organized by KS Iskra Mokrzesz as part
of an accompanying program and... almost came back to Biela with a shield,
losing in a crazy match to the Polish futsal team (over 35 years old) 2:4.
