TŘINEC: THE
TRAIN STATION WILL BE CLOSED THIS SUMMER. A MAJOR RENOVATION IS PLANNED
A major
renovation of the Trzyniec bus station is in the works. This summer, it will
undergo a modernization that will significantly improve its appearance and
provide passengers and carriers with a higher level of safety and comfort. The
52-million-koruna project is scheduled to be completed by the end of the
summer. Starting in September, the completely renovated station will once again
be fully operational for travelers.

EVERY CASTLE HAS ITS SECRETS
The castle
in Gnojnik has always left me wondering. Hidden among the trees and falling
into ruin for decades, it didn’t give me much hope that it would ever reveal
its interiors and history to me. However, having been recently renovated, it
allowed me to peek even into those rooms that are not usually open to visitors.

For film
connoisseurs, the Cieszyn Film Festival is the only opportunity of the year to
explore a broad panorama of new cinema from Poland’s southern neighbors. The
28th "Kino na Granicy” Film Festival will take place from April 29 to May 3,
2026, in Cieszyn and Český Těšín. A limited number of discounted festival
accreditations are now on sale.

THIRD WIN OVER KARLOVY VARY. THE STEELERS ARE ONE STEP AWAY FROM THE EXTRALIGA
HOCKEY FINAL
They’ve
done it again! The Třinec hockey team defeated Karlovy Vary for the third time
and is now one step away from advancing to the Tipsport Extraliga semifinals.
Forward Ondřej Kovařčík scored the game-winning goal, making it 3–2, off an
assist from Marian Adámek. The fourth semifinal game takes place on Wednesday
at 6:30 p.m. in Karlovy Vary.
