For the seventeenth time, the prestigious gala entitled "Bystrzyca gives thanks" was held in Bystrzyca on Thursday. It is traditionally organized during Advent, but only this year it was also part of the celebration of the 600th anniversary of the municipality of Bystrzyca. – As always, we will thank all those outstanding personalities for simply making us happy" announced mayor Roman Wróbel.

The thirteenth edition of the Milan Wallach Ringo Tournament was held last weekend in the Polish Grammar School of Juliusz in Český Těšín. This year, a record number of players took part in the competition.

An exhibition of Christmas nativity scenes is on display at the Silesia Ostrava Castle until January 7, 2024. On view are wooden, paper and colorful nativity scenes, some even made of bread or straw. The pride of the exhibition is the Cracovian nativity scenes on loan from the collection of the Silesian Museum in Katowice.

AGEL High School of Health and Higher Professional Education is expecting another storm of applications. At the moment, 640 students and pupils are being educated there.
