POLISH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN ČESKÝ TĚŠÍN ARE THE BEST
Students of the Polish Elementary School in Český Těšín won the Mayor's Transitory Cup, an award for the best school in Český Těšín in sports competitions.

DZIEĆMOROWICE BET ON NATURAL GAS AND BIOMASS
ČEZ is building a new low-emission natural gas and biomass heating plant in Dziećmorowice. The plant will supply district heating to Orlová and Bogumin. After coal is phased out, pollutant emissions are expected to drop by as much as 97 percent.

CIESZYN: THE END OF THE ICONIC PIAST CINEMA?
The famous Piast cinema in Cieszyn, the closest place for Zaolzie residents to watch movies in Polish, is ending its operations. The previous tenant has informed the city authorities of its intention to terminate the contract. – This cinema is very important to us. We have three months of talks ahead of us and are looking for an optimal solution to keep the cinema running from September – says Przemysław Major, deputy mayor of Cieszyn.

PETR SOSTŘONEK FOR "GŁOS”: WE ARE A FAMILY CLUB
