OSTRAVA-MOSZNOW:
NATO DAYS FOR THE 25TH TIME
Today's
meeting at Ostrava's Knihcentrum with pilots of, among others, the German
Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet, the Red Arrows group and a Czech logistician
working for the US Air Force (4 pm), as well as a concert by the Polish Border
Guard Representative Orchestra under the baton of Lt. Col. Leszek Mieczkowski
at the Cathedral of the Divine Savior (7 pm) will precede the 25th NATO Days in
Ostrava and the 16th RC Army Air Force Days, which begin tomorrow. The event
returns after two years; a year ago it was canceled at the last minute due to
flooding.

IMPORTANT TALKS. DELEGATION OF THE CONGRESS OF POLES AND PZKO IN WARSAW
Leading
representatives of the Congress of Poles in the RC and the Polish Cultural and
Educational Association visited Warsaw this week for a two-day visit. During
their talks in the capital, they raised the issue of Polish language
certificates, among other issues, and thanked the Polish Congress for saving
this year's Green School.

HOSPICE WILL RECEIVE CITY AWARD
Trinec
Hospice Medica will be honored with the City of Trinec Award. The decision was
made by councilors at Tuesday's session. – The services provided by Medica Trinec
will be sought by more and more people. Our society is unfortunately aging and
the help the organization provides to the families of the sick will be
increasingly needed," said Trinec Mayor Věra Palkovská in her
justification of the application.

EXTRALIGA: SECOND AWAY DEFEAT OF THE STEELERS
The
Tipsport Ekstraliga field hockey league does not allow fans to take a break. On
Tuesday, as part of the 4th round, the Trinec Steelers faced Mladá Boleslavia
in an away game. And – just like in the away match against Sparta Prague – they
return to Třinec on a disc after losing 1:2.
