SUMMER CAMP IN ZAOLZIE. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Bystrzyca, Český Těšín, Jabłonków, Karviná, Sucha Górna, Třinec (Leszna Dolna), and Wędrynia—these are the towns where this year’s "Vacation in Zaolzie” day camp, organized by the Congress of Poles in the Czech Republic and the Association of Polish Youth in the Czech Republic, will be held. Registration has just begun, and the first participants are already signing up.

For some, it will simply mark the end of their term; for others, it will be a farewell to the municipal office. We asked local officials in the Zaolzie region who identify as Polish whether they plan to run in the upcoming municipal elections. The elections will take place on October 9–10. 

CIESZYN: A CITY SCAVENGER HUNT FOR STUDENTS, RESIDENTS, AND TOURISTS
An engaging city scavenger hunt has been launched in Český Těšín and Cieszyn, designed primarily for students from the region, but also for tourists and residents. There are four themed routes to choose from.

You can never get enough of ice hockey. Today in Switzerland, the elite world championships kick off, which will determine the best national team in 2026—a year dominated in February by the Olympic Games in Italy. There, the U.S. hockey team celebrated a gold medal after defeating Canada 2-1 in overtime in the final. What will happen this time? We’ll find out on May 31 in the final scheduled for Zurich.
