CZESKI CIESZYN: FORGIVE, BUT DON’T FORGET
"We have forgiven, but we must not forget”—this was the message heard on Monday in Konteszyniec on April 13, the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Katyń Massacre. Members and supporters of the Katyń Family in the Czech Republic gathered in Czeski Cieszyn in front of the Katyń memorial plaques to commemorate the residents of Cieszyn Silesia murdered by the Russians, who were among the nearly 22,000 Poles killed in the Katyn forests. 

GODULA: A PLACE FULL OF INTERESTING FACTS. A HISTORICAL WALK TO THE SUMMIT
A group of 55 people took part in a hike to Godula organized by the Śmiłowice Community History Club on Saturday, April 11. The hike provided an opportunity to learn little-known facts about the history of this mountain (738 m above sea level). 

MISTRZOWICE: IN THE "MICROCLIMATES” OF THEATRICAL MEMORIES
This was the second talk in the "Mikroklimaty” series, held on Saturday afternoon at the PZKO House in Mistrzowice. Stanisław Jedzok invited the participants "into the world of theater, live music, and stories from the stage.” His guests were Jana Špaňúr, Jan Przywara, Jacek Rybicki, and Jan Szymanik. 

THE STEELERS ARE IN THE EXTRALIGA FINALS! KUBIESA WAS THE HERO AGAINST KARLOVY VARY
In Trzyniec, they’re celebrating their advancement to the Tipsport Extraliga hockey finals! The Steelers defeated Karlovy Vary 3–2 in overtime today, winning the semifinal series 4–1, and are now waiting to face their opponent in the championship series. That opponent will be either Pardubice or Sparta Prague. The final series begins next weekend.
