THE DIOCESE OF OSTRAVA-OPAVA BEGINS ITS CELEBRATIONS
Bishops from the Czech Republic, Moravia, Poland, and Slovakia will take part in the main event marking the 30th anniversary of the Diocese of Ostrava-Opava, which will take place on Saturday, May 30, at the Cathedral of the Divine Savior in Ostrava. 

WITH "ŁOWIYNZIOK” TO "GOROL”! THE PROGRAM FOR THE 2026 GOROL FESTIVAL IS REALLY EXCITING!
The "Kings of Łowiynziok" competition, featuring one of the most distinctive folk dances of the Silesian Beskids, is a new addition to this year’s 79th edition of the Gorolski Festival in Jabłonków. It will take place on Friday, the first day of the festival. 

THE HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION EXAMS HAVE CONCLUDED AT THE POLISH MIDDLE SCHOOL. WE NOW KNOW THE RESULTS
It has been a long time since the Juliusz Słowacki Polish Middle School in Český Těšín saw such excellent results on the final exams. Of the 67 fourth-year students who took the final exams this year, only one failed the oral exam in a single subject. Everyone passed the state-administered exams and the written exams. 

ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: CZECHS OUT, CANADA ON A ROLL
Finland defeated the Czech Republic 4–1, while Canada beat the defending champion United States 4–0 in the first quarterfinal matches of the Elite Ice Hockey World Championship, held in Zurich and Fribourg. Tonight, Switzerland will face Sweden, and Norway will face Latvia.
