KARWINA: "MAY NORDIC WALKING” WITH A PATRIOTIC TWIST
Forty participants set out on Sunday morning for the "May Nordic Walking” event around Lake Karwina. The patriotic march, commemorating Polish Flag Day, Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad Day, and Constitution Day (May 3), was organized by the local branch of the Polish Cultural and Educational Union (PZKO) in Karwina-Raj. 

SUCHA GÓRNA: A PROPER CHURCH FAIR
Sunday’s church fair in honor of Saint Joseph, patron saint of the Catholic parish church in Sucha Górna, was a dignified occasion. The solemn Polish-Czech Mass was celebrated by parish priest Roland Manowski. 

CZ. CIESZYN: POLISH CELEBRATIONS IN KONTESZYNIEC
Members of the Katyń Family in the Czech Republic gathered on Monday, May 4, in front of the memorial plaques in Konteszyniec, Český Těšín, to celebrate Polish national holidays—Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad Day, Polish Flag Day, Constitution Day (May 3), and the upcoming Victory Day. 

CHANCE EKSTRALIGA: A HARD-FOUGHT FINAL BETWEEN KARWINA AND PLZEŇ
The Baník Karwina handball players still can’t rest easy. In the Chance Ekstraliga handball finals, Michal Brůna’s team is tied with Talent Plzeň 2-2 after four games. Saturday’s match at the Karwina arena will decide which team will claim the RC championship title. The most important game of the season begins at 6:30 p.m.
