PALM SUNDAY OPENS HOLY WEEK IN THE CHURCH
Palm Sunday opens Holy Week in the Church, which crowns the Paschal Triduum. The liturgy of this day begins outside with the dedication of palms and the reading of the Gospel of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem. It is also the second day of the year besides Good Friday when the account of the Passion is read.

AN IMPORTED HARE AND A SHOT OF TARTARCZÓWKA
If cultural
traditions are to survive, they must be a part of our lives, not just folklore
presented on holidays, Professor Daniel Kadłubiec argued on Wednesday at the
PZKO House in Sucha Górna. He came there with a lecture on Easter customs in
Cieszyn Silesia. And although these rituals are often associated with
superstition, it is worth knowing that they all have a deep, legitimate
meaning.
STONAVA:
DURING ENROLLMENT, EVERY CHILD COUNTS
At the
Polish school in Stonava, one of the smallest in Zaolzie, literally every child
counts. Parents brought three of them to the enrollment, which took place
Thursday afternoon. Next year's first-graders will be: Natalka Szotkowska, Nela
Gąsior and Marek Feber.

Three
Steelers entered the scoring list of the victorious friendly match between the
RC and German field hockey teams. The Czechs won 7:0 in Regensburg on Thursday
evening, with goals scored by the likes of Ternács Marian Adámek, Daniel
Kurovský and Tomáš Kundrátek. The clean sheet was caught by another Steelman,
Ondřej Kacetl.
