POLISH
AUTHORS AT THE BOOK WORLD IN PRAGUE
The World
Book Fair began in Prague on Thursday. The event will last until Sunday. And
although the focus will be on the Czech literature, Polish writers and their
works will also make an appearance. The stand with the Polish literature will
traditionally be hosted by the Bookstore u Wirthów from Český Těšín in
cooperation with the Polish Institute in Prague. Among the authors will be our
editorial colleague Danuta Chlup.

THEY WANT TO COMMEMORATE THE CHURCH OF ST. HENRY
The Old
Karviná Association is working to commemorate St. Henry's Church, which was
demolished in 1960-1961 due to mining damage.

TEST WORTH A MILLION
The Jerzy
Cienciała Theater, operating at the local PZKO Circle in Wędrynia, has begun
its thirteenth decade of activity. During yesterday's premiere of "Test,” the
four actors entertained the audience, but also made them think. The play can
also be seen today at 6 p.m. in the Wędrynia "Czytelnia.”

HOCKEY MC: THE BEAUTIFUL DREAM OF POLISH PEOPLE IS OVER. BACK TO BACKSTAGE
Polish
hockey players are returning to the backstage of the world competition after a
brief adventure with the Elite. The red-and-whites, in Monday's key Group B match
in Ostrava, lost to Kazakhstan 1:3, getting the last position in the spread. So
the beautiful dream ended quickly for Polish fans, crowding all Polish matches
in Ostravar Arena.
