ADVENTURE
BEGINS OUTSIDE THE WINDOW. 12-YEAR-OLD DANIEL BEDNÁŘ ENCOURAGES TRAVEL
Daniel
Bednář is a 12-year-old student at the Wislawa Szymborska Polish Elementary
School in Vendryně. He founded the Traveler's Club "ZA OKNEM” especially for
his classmates from Zaolzie. He also designed the logo himself with a toucan
(as you will learn from the interview on glos.live, our hero loves birds) which
was graphically designed by Marek Chmiel.
CZESKI
CIESZYN: CHILDREN'S DAY POOL FOR FREE
On
Saturday, June 1, Children's Day, the pool in Český Těšín will be opened for
the summer season. On that day, children and teenagers up to the age of 18 can
enter for free. There have been minor changes at the swimming pool, but most
importantly, they have not affected admission prices, which have remained at
last year's level.
"CIESZYNIANKA”
IS AN UNCOMMON FLOWER
Teachers of
Polish kindergartens in Czeski Cieszyn came up with the idea of founding it in
the 1974/75 school year. This is how the choir "Cieszynianka” was founded,
which sings to this day. Over the course of 50 years, whole crowds of toddlers,
middle-aged and older children have passed through its ranks.
OSTRAVA:
POLISH SPRINTERS GAVE IT A GO IN GOLDEN SPIKES
The Olympic
season obliges. Athletes competing in the most important spring meetings, at
stake of which are, among other things, the points needed to win a pass to
Paris, are also well aware of this. On Tuesday, the stars of the queen of sports
entertained spectators at Ostrava's Golden Spikes, a Continental Gold
Tour-ranked meeting.
